Is it difficult to install a B&M Z-Gate Shifter?

I'm going to buy a B&M Z-Gate Shifter to install in my 1979 Ford Bronco and I am just wondering how difficult it will be to install. I only have minor mechanical experience (changing oil, spark plugs, and small stuff like that). I was reading the instructions online and it sounds like the hardest part would be hooking the cable up to the transmission. I have all the tools that I will probably need, but would I be better off having it installed at a garage, or could I just install it myself, and how difficult will it be to install?
