Ladies! if you met a man and liked him but he said he had a temper would this make you more cautious?

i met a man recently and we like each other he said he has a temper this has made me a bit weary.What would other people think if someone told them that am i right to be cautious? He also dosnt want me to go round his as he says it is a mess but is he hiding something? What would you think?
