How to ask for more hours?

I recently started working as a hand-packer in a warehouse, I work 2 days, I get 2 days off, I work 2 nights, then I get 3 days off, I get 12 hours a day, so thats 48 hours a week, I want to get 60 a week, but that is only for full-time employees, I have no reason to be home, hence my wnt for more hours, but I am not sure how to ask, since I will only have been employed for 4 days tomorrow
