Was Mark Fuhrman Defense or Prosection during the OJ Trial?

Good question; I don't remember for sure but my memory says prosecution. If he was defense, he'd been a hostile witness. He was, after all, caught planting evidence to frame OJ. If he hadn't been caught, he'd been a key prosecution witness but I could see him having been called by the defense since he was caught. What is interesting is the usually overlooked conflict of interest where the prosecutors office refused to order an investigation as it would have been a damaging sideshow to their case against OJ and that would have plucked the hoped for feathers from their hats and ended their dreams of political advancement from convicting a celebrity for murder. The perjury conviction had the same affect though.
